In the late ‘70s she was hired by the Essex Town School District in Essex, Vermont where she was a licensed school counselor for 27 years, working both at the middle school and elementary levels. In that capacity, Katie provided individual and group counseling, taught in classrooms, consulted with parents, and collaborated with other school professionals.

In the early ‘90s, Katie also became licensed as a Mental Health Counselor. For 25 years, she worked both part-time in Essex schools and part-time doing her private practice. In 2006, Katie retired from the school system after 27 years of service and has solely been in private practice since.

Katie is a native Vermonter who grew up in Burlington. She loves the seasons and Vermont’s ever-changing weather. It reminds her of life, as we never know what lies ahead for us at any given moment. She loves hiking in the mountains, kayaking in gentle rivers, sunsets on Lake Champlain, traveling, cooking natural foods, and making dish gardens. She has two grown daughters.
